Dear RIBA Members:
Thank you for your support of the Rhode Island Bluegrass Alliance. We hope this message finds you and your loved ones well.
As an organization, our main objective is to bring together people who love and appreciate bluegrass music, so we’re excited that we can begin gathering again in person, now that the state of Rhode Island and our neighboring states have lifted the restrictions that had put our events on hold.
The RIBA board is now busy planning activities, including hosting the Kids Academy at the Podunk Bluegrass Festival, August 13-15 in Connecticut, the 2021 Ocean State Bluegrass Festival and Pick-nic to be held September 18 and 19 at Frerichs Farm in Warren, RI, and the 2020-2021 RIBA Hall of Fame, at which we’ll honor four notable southern New England bluegrass musicians this fall. We also hope to resume the monthly slow jam in the near future.

How can you help?
1. Please respond to this quick two-question survey asking your preferences regarding the price and food options for the 2020-2021 Hall of Fame event. This will help us select an appropriate venue. Note: If you purchased a ticket to the cancelled 2020 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, we will honor the ticket at the 2020-2021 event.
2. We are always looking for members who would like to become more actively involved in the organization and are now seeking nominations for this year’s election of RIBA officers. If you are interested in serving in a leadership role, or know someone who might be interested, please send your nomination to ribluegrass@gmail.com by June 25th.
3. Volunteer to help at any of our upcoming events, or with our educational or fundraising activities.
We are very much looking forward to seeing and picking with you soon. Thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Sal Sauco RIBA President
